Children Help Children

The initiative “Children Help Children” was launched at Reykjavík City Hall yesterday, an annual charity collection project in which elementary schools in Iceland and ABC Children’s Aid cooperate.

The collection formally began when Reykjavík Mayor Vilhjálmur Th. Vilhjálmsson was the first to put money into the collection box of a pupil in Melaskóli in Reykjavík. Fréttabladid reports.

Until March 2, school children will visit homes in Iceland with their collection boxes and ask people to contribute to ABC’s work in Pakistan, Kenya and Uganda.

ABC Children’s Aid supports 6,000 children with the help of foster parents in many countries and has, among other things, constructed a school in Pakistan and established dormitories in Kenya and Uganda.
