The opening ceremony will be at the concert and conference center Harpa at 11 am tomorrow when 1,200 fourth grade students of the capital’s elementary schools will perform a dance in colorful attire, a press release describes.

The festival is comprised of many small events, 200 in total, around the capital and includes all forms of art in which children may participate. The festival closes with a grand concert at the Laugardalslaug swimming pool on Sunday.

Throughout the festival a special children’s culture center will be operated inside Iðnó in the city center.
