Publisher Forlagið will celebrate new releases of children’s books with a festival today between 2 and 5 pm at Iðnó in Reykjavík.
All of Forlagið’s latest children’s books, both by Icelandic and foreign authors, will be on display and some of the authors and illustrators will be on site to chat with visitors, a press release states.
Readings will take place throughout the day and various acts will be performed on stage, including a singing princess and a folk dance performance by a group of siblings.
A smurf will be strolling around and outside horses from the horse rental Hestamennt will greet visitors.
All children will receive a small treat and can participate in a game for the chance to win a new children’s book.
