A handful of new bars have opened in Iceland’s capital in recent months, including Stúdentakjallarinn at Háskólatorg, the University of Iceland, Loft Hostel at Bankastræti 7, the cocktail bar Loftið at Auturstræti 9, Bunk Bar at Laugavegur 28, Harlem og Volta at Tryggvagata 22, Kaldi Bar at Laugavegur 20b and the F-Bar at Nýlendugata 14.

All of them are in 101, the downtown area of Reykjavík, except Stúdentakjallarinn, which is located a 15-minute walk from the nightlife.
There are 16 or 17 different types of Icelandic beer with the average pint costing around ISK 1,000 (USD 8, EUR 6).
