Workers toasted in Champagne last night after their efforts to save the sand pump vessel Perlan (Pearl) finally paid off, RÚV reports.
The ship sank in Reykjavík Harbor November 2. Previous attempts to save the ship had failed twice, but yesterday’s efforts were successful. The ship’s damages are yet to be assessed.
