The Center for Icelandic Art (CIA) released 11 new DVDs, each of which portrays an Icelandic artist, at the end of last month, who have now joined the ranks of the 66 artists who are already represented in the center’s DVD collection.
The collection has come in handy when foreign guests want to familiarize themselves with the work of Icelandic artists, a CIA press release states.
The artists who have now been added to the collection are Darri Lorenzen, Gudjón Ketilsson, Gudrún Vera Hjartardóttir, Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir, Hulda Stefánsdóttir, Ívar Valgardsson, Jón Óskar, Kristleifur Björnsson, Sigurdur Árni Sigurdsson, Svava Björnsdóttir and Unnar Örn Jónasson.
The DVDs are intended for he visitors to the gallery space of the Association of Icelandic Visual Artists (SÍM), the SÍM-House, on Hafnarstraeti 16 in Reykjavík.
SÍM’s artist of the month is Gudrún Einarsdóttir, whose work is currently on display in the gallery space. Her exhibition will run through the end of April.
