Icelandic company CCP, makers of the online game EVE Online, delivered net profits of ISK 110 million [USD 1.5 million] in the first quarter of this year, with EBITDA at ISK 137 million [USD 1.9 million], Fréttabladid reports.
This is the company’s best performance to date and exceeds profits by such well-known Icelandic businesses as Marel, Össur and Nýherji. EVE Online has some 120,000 registered users worldwide.
