Cat Suspected of Arson in Hafnarfjörður

A cat in the town of Hafnarfjörður, just outside Reykjavík, is suspected of having started a fire last night. It is thought that the cat stepped on a stove switch which led to a fire starting in some empty pizza boxes, visir.is reports.

Residents of the house noticed the fire immediately and called the fire department but were able to contain the fire before they arrived on the scene. On arrival, fire fighters cleared the home of smoke.
