Normally, fish is wet and cars are dry. Not today, though.
When a customer in Ísafjörður returned to the car after purchasing dried fish, that person’s car was far from dry. It had sunk in the harbor and remained partially submerged for half an hour, RÚV reports. No one was injured. It took rescue workers two hours to retrieve the car. Among others, a diver, crane and the crew of a boat took part in the rescue.
It’s not known how the accident occurred.
