Cannabis Confiscated near Reykjavík

The Reykjavík Metropolitan Police discovered extensive cannabis production in Hafnarfjörður last week and confiscated about 1,100 cannabis plants, RÚV reports. The cannabis was produced at two different locations inside an industrial building, using sophisticated equipment.

At the same location, police confiscated half a kilo of cannabis products, ready for distribution and use. The landlord, a man in his thirties, was arrested and has confessed to his role in the case. He was found to be carrying amphetamine as well.

In an unrelated case, police furthermore discovered 5 kg (11 lbs) of marijuana in an apartment building in Hafnarfjörður. The head of the household, a man in his twenties, was arrested and subsequently confessed.

Both cases are considered solved.
