Candidates 74 Years Apart

Becoming a member of parliament appeals to people of all ages. Eight days from now, Iceland will hold a parliamentary election.

The oldest candidate running will be 92 years and 238 days old on October 29. His name is Jónsteinn Haraldsson, and he’s a member of the Left-Green Movement, RÚV reports. By contrast, the youngest candidate, Ásta Sóley Hjálmarsdóttir, a member of the People’s Front, will be 18 years and 17 days old that day.

Thus, the age difference is 74 years and 221 days.
