Canceled Fligths and Terrible Weather Ahead

The Icelandic Met Office has issued a warning: A strong or severe gale (more than 20-25 m/s) is expected in South and West Iceland tonight and tomorrow morning.

Both WOW Air and Icelandair have canceled or delayed the following flights according to

According to the WOW Air Facebook page the company has delayed two flights: WW403 to Paris and flight WW201 to London.

On Wednesday: Light variable wind and widely fair weather, but cloudy and occasional snow showers in the east part. Frost 0 to 12 deg. C, coldest inland. On Thursday: Southeast wind and light sleet or snow, but dry in the north and northeast parts. Temperature above freezing point by the south and west coast, elsewhere light frost. On Friday: Southwest wind and snow showers, but mostly dry in the east part. Cooling for a while. On Saturday: Increasing south wind with snow and later sleet or rain, mainly in the south and west parts. Rising temperatures. On Sunday: Southwest wind and snow showers, but fair in the northeastern part.
