Calls for Látrabjarg to become National Park

Locals in the West Fjords municipality of Vesturbyggð would like Látrabjarg bird cliffs—home to puffins, northern gannets, guillemots and razorbills among others— and the surrounding areas to be given national park status.

The local authorities and others are currently looking into the necessary process.
