British authorities claimed that the bank had been involved in criminal activity including the transfer of large amounts of the bank’s funds from the UK to Iceland in the lead-up to the collapse in 2008. According to the SFO’s statement, there is insufficient evidence in the case.

The British police and the Special Prosecutor’s Office in Iceland will continue to have good cooperation, visir.is reports.
