Brim Named Best Film at the Eddas

brim-posterBrim (Undercurrent) was named Best Film at the Eddas, the Icelandic Film and Television Awards, on Saturday. The film received a total of six awards, including for Best Actress, which went to Nína Dögg Filippusdóttir.

Ólafur Darri Ólafsson was presented with an Edda for Best Actor for his role in Rokland, while Dagur Kári Pétursson was named Best Director of The Good Heart, which received a total of five Eddas, Morgunbladid reports.

Viewers voted Thóra Arnórsdóttir from national broadcaster RÚV Best Television Presenter and Director Hrafn Gunnlaugsson accepted the Edda’s Honorary Award.

Other awards include TV Drama of the Year which went to Réttur 2 (Court, 2nd series) and Documentary of the Year which was awarded to Feathered Cocaine.
