Brim to Become Movie

The Vesturport theater group and Zik Zak productions have received an ISK 60 million (USD 1,000,000, EUR 700,000) grant to produce the film Brim (Surf), which was originally a stage piece by Jón Atla Jonasson.

According to Rakel Gardarsdóttir, director of Veturport, there have long been plans to bring the play to the screen. The screenplay for the film will be written by the Vesturport theater group, together with Ótto Geir Borg and Árni Ólafur Ásgeirsson. Production is scheduled to begin later this year.
