The Icelandic movie Börn (Children), directed by Ragnar Bragason, received two awards at the Zerkalo International Film Festival held in Russia July 6 to 13, for best picture as chosen by critics and best male actor in a leading role.
“I was told that we should be especially pleased with this critics award, because […] Russian critics are very exacting and stiff,” Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, who was named best actor, told Morgunbladid. Ólafsson said receiving the award was a great honor and that he felt like a famous movie star during his stay in Russia.
