Grammy-nominated pop star Bonnie Tyler will be performing at this year’s Secret Solstice Festival, RÚV reports. The news was announced by festival organizer Jón Bjarn Stefánsson on Wednesday.
The raspy-voiced Welsh singer had her first breakout hit with the song “It’s a Heartache,” 1978, which was followed by the smash “Total Eclipse of the Heart” in 1983 and “Holding Out for a Hero” the next year, which featured on the soundtrack for the film Footloose. More recently, she represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013, singing “Believe In Me.”
Other performers at this year’s Secret Solstice, which will take place from June 21 – 24, include electronic artist Steve Aoki (US), techno DJ Charlotte de Witte (BE), and singer-songwriter Högni (IS). The full lineup can be seen here.
