Fishermen discovered two body parts off the coast of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, DV reports.
According to protocol, the fishermen contacted the coast guard who transported the body parts to Reykjavík. Jóhann Karl Þórisson assistant chief constable confirmed the findings, which, according to DV‘s sources were a leg and an unknown body part.
The body hasn‘t been identified. The police are working on a DNA identification and they should have the results in a week or two.
