Body Discovered North of Höfn

The body of a young man was discovered in Laxárdalur, Nes, north of Höfn, Hornafjörður yesterday, according to RÚV. The body has not been identified, but the deceased is believed to have died several months ago. Investigation is ongoing and it’s not know under what circumstances the man died.

Police in Höfn, Hornafjörður, was notified of the discovery of the body yesterday afternoon and went to the scene, along with an identification team from the National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police and a medical examiner. The identification team has reported that the body is that of a young man, approximately 186 cm (6ft 1in), with blonde shoulder-length hair. The deceased was wearing black canvas shoes with a white star on the side, navy blue sweat pants and a hooded sweatshirt with the word QUICKSILVER on front.
