Search and rescue organizations from the capital region were called out this morning when a boat ran aground at Eyri by Álftanes, a neighboring community of Reykjavík.
It soon turned out that the two men onboard weren’t in any danger and they’ve now been brought ashore, a press release from search and rescue association ICE-SAR informs.
The boat is being secured during the current low tide. A tow boat will then be used to drag the boat back to sea at the next high tide, around dinner time.
