Blues Night in Reykjavík

By Iceland Review

Next Thursday, September 18, at 9 pm Café Rosenberg in Reykjavík will celebrate a special “Blues Night” with Michael Dean Odin Pollock and Siggi Sig performing, both of whom are self-proclaimed legends of the Icelandic popular music scene.

According to the musicians, the night will be dedicated to “original and classic undiluted country/folk blues straight from the heart.” Pollock plays the Dobro and Sig plays the harmonica.

Both Pollock and Sig have been involved in multi-faceted art projects locally and internationally in recent years. They make it their mission “to keep the torch burning bright preserving the history, passion [and] the source of contemporary popular music alive.”
