Hatcher also participated in a Broadway performance of the piece, and since her first appearance in the play, she has done her share in the fight against domestic violence. She told mbl.is that she would have liked to have been introduced to the play in her youth.
“I remember the reception we received from a male audience to Vagina Monologues, who said he wished he had seen the play when he was younger; it would have helped him connect with women,” Hatcher told mbl.is.
“A lot of men were reluctant to attend the performance as they didn’t know what to expect. Usually they enjoyed the performance,” Hatcher added.
