Björn Ingi Hrafnsson Retires from Politics

Progressive Party member and Reykjavík City councilman Björn Ingi Hrafnsson announced yesterday he would hand in his resignation to the mayor today. He said he had made this decision because of personal attacks by a fellow party member.

Hrafnsson told Fréttabladid that although he has retired from politics, he will remain a member of the Progressive Party. Hrafnsson said he hoped his resignation from Reykjavík City Council would make other Progressive Party members settle their disputes.
