Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk has been nominated as Best International Female Solo Artist along with Beyonce, Feist, Lady Gaga and Rihanna at the upcoming BRIT Awards for her Biophilia project.
According to Reuters, the BRIT Awards “championed the solo artist on Thursday with nominations dominated by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Adele and Jessie J.”
“And leading the pack is English singer-songwriter Sheeran who has yet to match the profile of his female rivals,” Mike Collett-White of Reuters writes.
The BRIT Awards, Britain’s most prestigious music awards in pop, will be announced at a ceremony in London’s O2 Arena on February 21.
