Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk participated in a charity initiative for Haiti along with other musicians in New York on Sunday evening. She performed as a DJ in a carport in Brooklyn.

The place is called Above the Auto Parts and is a carport on weekdays but a music club on weekends, Morgunbladid reports.
The charity event was intended to collect donations for an association called Partners in Health, which is involved in emergency relief in Haiti, where the community is still suffering from the series of earthquakes that hit earlier this year.
Ten to 20 Haitians who have relatives in Iceland have been offered residence permits in the country.
