Film and football fans alike are being invited to watch the UEFA Women’s European Championship live and free-of-entry at Reykjavík’s Bíó Paradís cinema this July.
The popular independent cinema, located on Hverfisgata in the city centre, will be transforming one of its gallery spaces into a football viewing area, where games will be screened on a large indoor screen.
Adding to the experience, a special European Championship offer will be available at the bar during all matches.
The group stage runs from 2 to 13 July, followed by the quarter-finals from 16 to 19 July. The semi-finals take place 22 and 23 July, while the final is scheduled for 27 July. All matches will be shown live.
Organisers say the screenings aim to bring the community together in support of the Icelandic women’s national team. The event is open to everyone, and no booking is required.
