After tickets to his September 9, 2016 concert in Kórinn, Kópavogur, sold out in half an hour, there seems to be a good chance Justin Bieber will hold another concert in Iceland, Vísir reports. If that were to happen, the extra concert would likely take place on September 8.
Fans unable to purchase tickets expressed their disappointment on social media.
In an interview with Vísir, Ísleifur Þórhallsson, marketing manager and director of the music and events division at Sena, the company organizing the concert in collaboration with AEG Live – Concerts West, said it was a bit far-fetched to imagine Bieber would be able to give another concert here, and that nothing could be done about it until January since “everyone is already on Christmas holiday there.”
Ísleifur continued, “But because of this explosion [in ticket sales], we looked into it this weekend, got hold of him and, unbelievable as it sounds, it looks pretty good about the extra concert.” He emphasizes he can’t promise anything at this stage, but says he’s hopeful.
