Beyoncé Buys Icelandic Design

American R&B singer-songwriter Beyoncé Knowles dropped by Topshop in London last week and bought leggings designed by Icelandic fashion label E-label. Their designs have been sold in Topshop’s Edit department since early November.

“Topshop’s executives called us up and told us Beyoncé was in the store and that she had bought Heavy Metal leggings from E-label. We were of course very pleased because this is a great honor for the label,” Ásta Kristjánsdóttir, who runs E-label with Heba Hallgrímsdóttir, told Fréttabladid.

The leggings are the creation of fashion designer Ásgrímur Már Fridriksson.

Beyoncé is not the only Destiny’s Child member to wear E-label. Michelle Williams once ordered six clothing items from the company, Kristjánsdóttir said. “It would be great to see pictures of these women wearing our clothes.”
