Icelandic record label Bedroom Community will host a Christmas party in Reykjavík nightclub Kaffibarinn on the evening of December 22. Ben Frost, Valgeir Sigurdsson and other “family members” will perform live.
The record label has been busy this year. The “Scent Opera” by Sigurdsson and Nico Muhly premiered in the Guggenheim Museum in New York and the label’s “Whale Watching Tour” concert series traveled around Europe.
Additionally, some new albums have been released with more releases scheduled for the new year, including Draumalandid by Sigurdsson and Processions by Daníel Bjarnason, the label’s latest representative.
Although the official international release dates of these albums are in February next year, a limited edition of both albums will be available in selected music stores in Iceland and the label’s webstore shortly before Christmas.
