The blogger in question posted an entry on his blog last night, claiming to have thrown a snowball into Jóhannesson’s face and that other snowballs had followed,
According to Fréttabladid, Jóhannesson and Walker were standing outside the 101 Hótel on Hverfisgata when the snowball attack took place. They were in Iceland to attend a meeting with the Landsbanki resolution committee.
A group of people started hassling Jóhannesson and Walker and police were called to the scene. However, people calmed down quickly and agreed to leave after police had talked with them.
Jóhannesson dismissed the attack as insignificant. “As I understand it they were angry protestors walking around town that police had been looking for. One of them was not in balance but there was no fight.”
