Autumn Issue of I&I Arrives

The third issue of Issues & Images 2007, a free magazine published by Heimur Ltd. in cooperation with the Trade Council of Iceland, the Invest in Iceland Agency and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, has arrived.

The magazine features the last quarter in review, with an emphasis on the euro. After last quarter’s króna fluctuation, the voices demanding Iceland leave its króna behind, adopt the euro and join the EU became louder. In his article “To Be or Not to Be,” editor Benedikt Jóhannesson weighs in on the debate.

Other stories in the issue include why Iceland is an optimal location for a Microsoft server farm, how driving Iceland’s Ring Road is a good way to experience the country, river rafting as a major adrenaline kick, the Settlement Center in Borgarnes and the bicentennial anniversary of national poet Jónas Hallgrímsson.

Profiles include rising badminton star Ragna Ingólfsdóttir, critically acclaimed writer Audur Jónsdóttir, the granddaughter of Nobel laureate Halldór Laxness, and entrepreneur Karl Wernersson, who has helped turn Milestone into an international investment company.
