Ásgeir Trausti’s new English-language album In the Silence tops the Australian iTunes list of the bestselling albums this week, taking the top spot from now second-placed Pharrell Williams’ Girl. Number three in Australia is the Melbourne-born princess Kylie Minogue with Kiss Me Once, visir.is reports.
The lyrics for In the Silence were written by no other than John Grant. The album is the English version of Dýrð í dauðaþögn, which was a major hit in Iceland in 2013, breaking all sales records.
Ásgeir Trausti is currently touring Europe. No dates have been announced for Australia yet.
