A handsome ram lamb was born at the farm Árbæjarhjáleiga 2, near Hella, South Iceland, Monday night, RÚV reports. When farmer Kristinn Guðnason came to the barn, he noticed one of the ewes was not acting as usual. Upon closer inspection he realized it was about to give birth. The ewe then gave birth to a little ram.
Farmers in the area think it’s likely that this is the first lamb of the year. For lambs to be born at this time of year is highly unusual. The lamb is clearly the fruit of a passionate encounter in the month of August.
