A woman in her forties who was resuscitated by paramedics after being found unconscious in her home in eastern Reykjavík on May 16, died after a few days in the Landspítali hospital ICU.
Her husband, who is in his sixties, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of his wife and has since been released from custody, visir.is reports.
Preliminary autopsy results did not give the police reason to extend the custody sentence, an announcement from the police states.
