Icelandic musician Ásgeir Trausti has sold out his show at Metro Theatre in Sydney on July 23, themusic.com.au reports. Ásgeir also plays Melbourne the night before and the Splendour in the Grass festival in Byron Bay on July 25.
Ásgeir’s new English-language album In the Silence topped the Australian iTunes list of the bestselling albums earlier this year. The album was also national radio station triple j’s album of the week and single ‘King and Cross’ is reportedly set to be one of the big hits of 2014.
His Icelandic single ‘Frá mér til ykkar’ currently tops the Icelandic charts.
