ASÍ Art Museum is currently exhibiting the works of Kjartan Ólason; large drawings and installations referring to Icelandic traditions and culture. The exhibition opened September 1 and Ólason’s work is on display until September 23.
Ólason was born in 1955 and studied at the Icelandic School of Art and Crafts and Empire State Collage in New York. From the very beginning of his career, the artist received considerable attention and has since been featured in many solo and group exhibitions.
ASÍ Art Museum is open every day, except Mondays, between 1 pm and 5 pm. ASÍ is also exhibiting the work of Hildur Bjarnadóttir, who represents handicraft traditions in her paintings and drawings.
