The lineup for the Innipúkinn Music Festival in Reykjavík has now been announced, Vísir reports. The festival, whose name means ‘couch potato’ in Icelandic, has been held annually on Merchants’ Weekend for the last 16 years. The name refers to the fact that the festival takes place in Reykjavík even though Merchants’ Weekend is the most popular travel weekend of the year, with many popular camping festivals taking place all around the country. This year’s event will be held over the weekend of August 4 – 6.
The 2017 lineup includes artists such as Alvia Islandia, aYia, FM Belfast, Kiriyama Family, Milkywhale, Sóley, Vök, and many more. Shows will be held at Húrra and Gaukurinn in downtown Reykjavík.
Armbands can be purchased for the whole festival, or tickets purchased for a single night. See more information on the Innipúkinn Facebook page.
