Art without Borders – Last Exhibition Weekend

The festival List án landamæra (“Art without Borders”), which celebrates art creations of people with disabilities is currently ongoing with various events and exhibition in Reykjavík and elsewhere. The festival concludes on Sunday.

Two exhibitions are running as part of the festival at the National Museum of Iceland, “Nál og hnífur” (“Needle and Knife”) and “Átta heimar” (“Eight Worlds”).

The former exhibition includes embroidery by Guðrún Bergsdóttir and carvings by Gauti Ásgeirsson, while the latter features art made by participants in a course held by the Reykjavík Art Academy and the education center Fjölmenntun, under the guidance of visual artists Kristinn G. Harðarson and Gerður Leifsdóttir.
