Apparat Organ Quartet and a Classical Concerts

Icelandic electronic pop band Apparat Organ Quartet will play in concert at Sódóma Reykjavík in the city center tonight and tomorrow night. The band released its second album before last Christmas, Pólýfónía, which was praised by critics.

Meanwhile a well-known Russian violinist, Vladimir Spivakov, will perform alongside four other Russian musicians at a concert in Kristskirkja (aka Landakotskirkja) in Reykjavík tomorrow.

The repertoire will include compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach. The concert will begin at 8 pm. The Catholic Church in Iceland is organizing the concert, Morgunbladid reports.

Also, a free classical concert will be held at the Gerduberg Culture Center in Reykjavík suburb Breidholt tomorrow at 12:15 pm and again on Sunday at 1:15 pm.

Flutist Hallfrídur Ólafsdóttir, clarinet player Ármann Helgason, obo player Eydís Franzdóttir and pianist Nína Margrét Grímsdóttir will perform chamber music pieces by the English composers Dring, Hurlstone and Goossens.
