Another Storm Brewing in Iceland

The Icelandic Met Office has issued a strong gale warning of more than 20 m/s in Iceland for tomorrow. A northwesterly wind of 10 to 18 m/s is forecast for Northeast and East Iceland, accompanied by snowshowers, elsewhere lighter westerly wind and occasional snowshowers. The temperature will range between 0 and -8°C (32°F and 18°F).

By noon tomorrow, the wind direction is expected to change and blow in from the southeast at 18 to 25 m/s with snow, first in the southwest. Lighter wind and dry conditions are forecast for the north and east until the late afternoon, as reported on vedur.is.

In the afternoon, the south and west will likely be hit by rain or sleet, with considerable precipitation in the south and southeast. Tomorrow evening the wind is expected to turn to the southwest with decreasing wind speed and precipitation. It will slowly become warmer.

The outlook for Thursday and the weekend is also a stormy.
