Oil companies raised the price of petrol by 4 ISK today; ÓB now charges 231,5 ISK per liter, N1 and Olís 231,7 ISK, and Shell 232,8 ISK. Only Orkan and Atlantsolía will continue to charge 227,5 ISK as before.

Magnús Ásgeirsson, the petrol purchasing agent for N1, told Morgunbladid that world market prices have risen again due to the situation in Greece. Prices began to rise last week after falling the week before.

“When the markets weaken as has happened in Greece and around the world, raw products and prices are raised.” The rise in the price per liter today reflects the current instability.”
