Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson has been nominated for a BAFTA Award (British Academy for Film and Television Arts) for the second year in a row, RÚV reports.
This time, he is nominated for best original music in the film Sicario. The announcement was made this morning.
Last year, Jóhann was nominated for a BAFTA Award, an Oscar and a Golden Globe for his music in the film Theory of Everything. He won the Golden Globe Award.
His music to Sicario has received a lot of attention. It plays a big part in the movie, which is about the war on drugs in Mexico. Josh Brolin, one of the film’s leading actors, told film review site Rotten Tomatoes, “The score is amazing. That score, to me, is one of the greatest scores I’ve ever heard in any movie.”
