Annie Mist Wins Silver at CrossFit Games

Icelandic CrossFit champion Annie Mist Þórisdóttir won second place in the individual women’s category at the International CrossFit Games held last week in Los Angeles. Canadian Camille Leblanc-Bazinet was the victor of the category, winning her the title of fittest woman in the world.

Annie previously held the title in 2011 and 2012 when she won first place at the games, but she did not participate last year due to serious injuries incurred in the fall of 2012.

“The past year and a half has probably been the hardest time for me. I hurt my back and immediately thought I would never walk again. After that it was that I would never compete again. And now I’m here,” said a tearful Annie in an interview with the press after the competition.
