Art collective Angeli Novi opened their installation You Can’t Stand in the Way of Progress at the Living Art Museum on Skúlagata 28 yesterday.
Angeli Novi, comprised of Steinunn Gunnlaugsdóttir and Ólafur Páll Sigurðsson, attempts to “create a kaleidoscopic time machine, examining the plight of generations which, one after the other, become tools and puppets of economic and historical structures.”
The exhibition, which consists of audio, video and sculptural pieces, features a 20-minute long film, shot in Greece and Iceland, during which around 30 people were willingly buried alive.
The exhibition runs through December 2.
