Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli is currently in Iceland and will perform in concert with his band in Egilshöll concert hall in Reykjavík suburb Grafarvogur tonight.
Bocelli is one of the most celebrated contemporary singers in the world and his albums have sold in more than 60 million copies, Morgunbladid reports.
Bocelli’s music is a mixture of classical music and opera, traditional Italian ballads and popular music. The tenor has worked with singers like Celine Dion.
Late Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti discovered Bocelli and promoted him as a singer, enabling him to establish a career in music.
At Pavarotti’s funeral last September 8, Bocelli sang “Ave verum corpus” by Mozart in his honor.
