Almost 200 Thousand people come to Iceland

By Iceland Review

Fearless tourists flocked to Iceland in April 2011 in stark contrast to last year’s fears over the eruption in Eyjafjallajökull. The increase in passengers from April 2010 to April 2011 was 56%. A year ago Keflavík airport was closed frequently because of the eruption.

For the first four months the number of people coming to Iceland was 190 thousand compared to 157 thousand last year.
