The woman arrived in the country on Friday night last week. However, her IDs are believed to be fake, Morgunbladid reports.

The woman was near unconsciousness and was therefore taken to a hospital where she spent the night and has since been in the care of the Sudurnes Police Department at her own request.

According to visir.is, she told police that she was afraid that she would be forced into prostitution.

Police took her to a safe location, which she is believed to have left of her own volition on Monday evening. Police asked the public to help find the woman, which seems to have delivered the desired results.
