A panel of experts has voted Mugison’s CD Haglél or Hail as Album of the Year. Fréttablaðið asked a panel of music experts, critics, and musicians: What is the best Icelandic album of 2011?

The best-selling album of the year, Halglél by Mugison tops the list with 35 points, his self-published album, has reportedly sold close to 30.000 copies in just three months.

1. Mugison – Haglél, 35 points.

3. Ham – Svik, Harmur, Dauði, 21 points.
4. GusGus – Arabian Horse, 19 points.
