The executives of the airline Air Iceland, which mainly offers domestic flights, has decided to offer scheduled flights to Nuuk in Greenland two times a week all year round. Air Iceland has offered flights between Reykjavík and Nuuk every summer since 2007.

To begin with, flights between Reykjavík and Nuuk will take place on Mondays and Thursdays, Fréttabladid reports.
Air Iceland has offered flights to five destinations in Greenland and flights will now be offered to three of these destinations all year round, in addition to Nuuk, Kulusuk and Constable Pynt.
The airline has noticed increased demand for flights between Iceland and Greenland among Greenlanders and Danes and other foreign tourists.
